A TABLE FOR 403
This table was a project done with the team during an internship spent at 403 architecture [dajiba] in Hamamatsu, Japan. When I arrived at 403, they had a small table where every meal was shared, where interns worked on models and where the architects help meetings with their clients. The table was too small for their needs and also unstable. The new table is 3m50 long to accommodate roughly 8 people. The table is thought out like a shelf or like the classic school pupil's table with a small shelf underneath to store work materials. This way when it is necessary to quickly change the function of the table ( from eating to meeting or work to meal ), things can be hidden in this shelf area. The table's structure is adapted to the context in that the structure is inspired by the surrounding furniture that was already built by the designers of the studio.
